The Second International Forum "LNG: Economics, Technologies, Solutions" concluded in St. Petersburg, bringing together more than 250 industry leaders to discuss key issues of liquefied natural gas market development. The three days of the forum combined 8 strategic sessions, a plenary session, a technical visit to the Cryogas-Pskov plant, and an exhibition of technologies, equipment and transport.
This year the organisers divided the business programme into regional and thematic days, which allowed participants to explore both specific projects and solutions in the market and general issues of LNG industry development.
One of the highlights of the event was a technological visit to the operating small-capacity LNG plant in the Pskov region, Cryogas-Pskov, during which the company's management answered questions from the forum guests.
The participants were also organised a trip on the motor ship "Chaika" - the only passenger vessel that uses LNG as fuel.
The exhibition of technologies and equipment did not fit under the roof of the congress centre - all the days of the event an exhibition of vehicles using LNG as a motor fuel and mobile LNG refuelling stations were operating outside. Among other things, new models of truck tractors were presented here for the first time, which aroused great interest among the guests of the event.
"The LNG Forum has consolidated its status as the key business platform for LNG market players in the country. Its results were: 257 participants from Russia, China, Turkey, Belarus; more than 40 reports and countless meetings and negotiations.
The next forum will be held in autumn 2025 in St. Petersburg.
The event was sponsored by Bunter Group LLC, Gazprombank JSC and Zhongtai Cryogenic.
